Ethernet Configuration
Subsonus can be configured for ipv4 network settings with manual (static) or dynamic (DHCP) settings. The Ethernet Configuration settings can be found by navigating to “Configuration”→”Ethernet Settings” in the web UI.

DHCP
By default Subsonus is configured as a DHCP client, It requires a DHCP server to be present on the network and will be automatically assigned an IP address by the server.
To configure DHCP Client mode:

Navigate to the “Configuration”→”Ethernet Settings” page.

For “Ethernet Mode” select “DHCP Client”.

Press “Update Network Settings”.
Static IP
Subsonus can be configured with a static IP address, this mode may be required when operating on a network that does not have a DHCP server present. Note that configuring a static IP address may break the ability to access Subsonus from the current network configuration, please be sure when configuring static IP addresses.
To configure Static IP mode:

Navigate to the “Configuration”→”Ethernet Settings” page.

For “Ethernet Mode” select “Static IP”.

Enter a Fixed IP Address, for example 192.168.1.10.

Enter a valid netmask, for example 255.255.255.0.

If required, enter a gateway IP Address.

If required, enter a broadcast address.

If required enter a DNS server address.
Link Mode
Link mode is the speed of the Ethernet connection, the modes can be configured as:

Auto Negotiation (Default) – automatically determine the best link mode.

100 Mbps Full Duplex.
-
100 Mbps Half Duplex.
-
10 Mbps Full Duplex.
-
10 Mbps Half Duplex.
This setting should be left on automatic unless the application directly requires a specific link mode.
